Ben Black is the co-founder and managing director of NewCycle Capital, a venture capital firm focused on investing in businesses that promote The Sustainable Economy. Black was previously on the investment teams at Maveron, a consumer-focused venture capital firm founded by Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks, and Rosewood Capital, a consumer-focused private equity firm.
He has been integral to investments that include two Inc. 500 award winners, Allconnect and iFloor.com, Internet REIT, OnRequest Images and SneakerVilla. As an entrepreneur, Black was part of the team as VP of Corporate Development that launched Harris Interactive into the leading internet-based market research firm, culminating into a successful IPO and now generates more than $200M in revenue.
By training, Black is an attorney and worked at Latham & Watkins after clerking on the Federal Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1997. Black earned both his Bachelors of Arts and his Juris Doctor degrees at Cornell University.
Graham MacRobie is president and chief executive officer of CitizenHawk. He has led the company successfully through several critical milestones in its early development.
MacRobie brings nearly 15 years of technology and management expertise to CitizenHawk. His experience spans both early-stage company development and management of large technical programs at some of the world's leading companies. For example, MacRobie served as chief technology officer of Cycle 23, a software startup that won "Best of Show" at Internet World Spring 2001, among other industry awards. During his career, MacRobie also held key technology management roles at Candle Corporation and AXA. MacRobie studied computer science at Pierce College.
